Dikicilab, established by Serkan Dikici, Ph. D. in 2021, is dedicated to developing innovative biomaterials for soft tissue engineering and angiogenesis. The lab’s research focuses on:
– Developing, characterizing, and evaluating pro-angiogenic biomaterials from natural and synthetic sources.
– Creating functional biomaterials to promote and accelerate chronic wound healing.
– Applying in vitro and in vivo angiogenesis models.
– Conducting vascular tissue engineering studies and developing and characterizing tissue-engineered vascular grafts (TEVG).
– Creating 3D tissue and disease models as alternatives to animal testing.
– Investigating endothelial cell flow and drug interactions in vitro.
The lab includes both graduate and undergraduate students in these scientific research efforts.
