About the Laboratory

BaldemirLab aims to contribute to solving global challenges in health, tissue engineering, nutrition, and sustainability through the development of innovative biomaterials.

By shaping the natural and synthetic biomaterials it synthesizes or isolates through methods such as emulsion templating, additive manufacturing (3D printing), freeze-drying, and hydrogel synthesis, BaldemirLab specializes these materials for applications in bone tissue engineering, interface tissue engineering, guided bone/tissue regeneration (GBR/GTR), and cellular agriculture, with the goal of making a tangible impact in these fields.

BaldemirLab adopts a process-oriented work culture, focusing not only on outcomes but also on understanding the perfect engineering of the universe we live in, discovering its secrets, and mimicking them to create solutions for existing problems. On this journey, the lab aims to enrich the competencies of its team members in key research areas, including literature review, project writing, conducting research, contributing research findings to the literature and real-world applications, scientific and medical visualization (Sci-Art), and scientific communication (Sci-Com).
